Hummingbird Banding

Kate McLaughlin, USGS master class hummingbird bander, helps band hundreds of hummingbirds every year. Residing in Cordova, Alaska, she delicately captures hummingbirds, records a variety of data, and releases them under just a few minutes. This data contributes to population estimates and general hummingbird studies.
