I pursued this story as a photographer for Flux Magazine at the University of Oregon for six months. Since the reintroduction of wolves to the Pacific Northwest, ranchers have been suffering from wolf predation, and I wanted to tell a story that encompassed all sides.
The project involved months of research, reporting, writing and photographing in collaboration with the writer. We spoke with ranchers, biologists and conservationists around Oregon to develop a deep understanding of the complex issue. It was a collaborative effort that ultimately earned the cover photo for the 2025 Edition of Flux Magazine.
